There are a lot of things I love about Christmas! I love celebrating the coming of Christ, spending time with my family, and just taking time to focus on different things. When we started homeschooling, we added in the fun of Christmas Around the World!

At first, I thought this would be a great way to learn about geography, foods, and Christmas traditions. It certainly is! But I quickly found that it goes further than that.
By studying how people in other countries celebrate Christmas, you can gain a much deeper understanding of their culture, of how they think.
This allows your children to learn about others in so many ways: their ideas, their language, their values…the list goes on. It opens up so many doors and some great discussions.
And, well, it’s really fun, too!
Christmas around the World
Christmas gives you all kinds of fun, adventure-filled learning opportunities. One of them is a Christmas around the World unit study! I’ve included the why and how behind it, as well as some great free resources and a free unit study planner.
I’m bringing it further than that, though! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be releasing daily mini-units that you can use to keep your kids learning through the holidays, with very little prep on your part. Let me do the work for you. That way, you and your kids can enjoy!
You’ll find unit studies and fun activities that will help you and your children learn about countries all over the world – from Mexico to Britain, from Sweden to the Philippines. You’ll also find units on classic literature and Christmas Carols!
