Hey friends!! Are you still looking for a planning method? Well, today you are in luck because I have FINALLY uploaded my homeschool planning sheets to the shop. Want to know why I don’t use an actual planner? See my post here!
What is Included?
1). A Student Checklist
I use this checklist for my oldest daughter, and somewhat for my younger. The list is divided into segments that correlate with my daily schedule. We like to teach more independence now that the girls are older. I also include daily chores so I can see what they have completed. If we will be skipping a subject that day I just mark through it.
2). Weekly Planning Sheet
My weekly planning sheet is what I use to keep us on track. I like to keep my meals, to do lists, and materials list all in the same place. It makes it easy for me to see what is on the agenda for a week. I plan for one week at a time (at the most two), so I don’t set myself up for failure. Anything longer than that and we have problems keeping up when life happens.
3). Theme Unit Planner
My theme unit planner is what I use if I am planning a specific theme. I especially like to do these type of units in the younger years. This sheet allows me to keep all my ideas in one place, so I can efficiently plan.
4). Yearly Planner
Now that we are using BJU for our core subjects we have a video log that keeps us all on task. Before this, I used a yearly log. I like to see my assignments all in one place, so it’s easy to plan. I set up the assignments at the beginning of the year. This sheet is the only long-term planning that I do, and it’s because I don’t ever break up our reading assignments from our worksheet assignments, so I know these won’t change.
